mymetaloftheday is officially adding video interviews to its content offering, and our first interview features Christophe Szpajdel, aka “The Lord of the Logos.” We thought this would be a great way to kick off this new content category since he played a key role in the website launch, creating the killer mymetaloftheday logo!

Christophe is a stalwart and key contributor to so many band logos, particularly in the more extreme metal scene, though his reach goes well beyond music, touching industries as diverse as food and drink, clothing, and beauty! In the video (embedded below), Christophe discusses some of his favorite logos he has created and why, his approach working with me on creating the mymetaloftheday logos, and some other fun facts and insights into his personality. He has created over 14,000 logos, with a lofty goal of hitting between 40,000 and 50,000 logos by 2030.

Christophe also wanted to call out 3 upcoming events he will be attending in person.

First, on April 25, 2026, in Turin, Italy, two bands he designed logos for exactly 30 years apart, Nihil Locus and Lugubre Tenebris, will share the same stage on one unforgettable night. This small yet incredibly meaningful and powerful free concert celebrates 30 years, uniting two closely linked entities in a single historic event!

He will be attending the Church of Crow Doom Festival May 1 – 2, 2026.

Finally, Christophe has designed several logos for Carn Crescent Crow and will be attending a 3-day event in Penzance, England , which will be celebrating Cornish Ancient Sites with Talks, Art, Music and Ritual. Follow @carncrescentcrow for more info.

If you are a band or a business looking for a logo, you should absolutely reach out to Christophe and let him work his magic. You can contact him via his Instagram page!

Hope you enjoy this deep dive with Christophe, and make sure to subscribe to be notified of new content, including both band interviews and full live concert recordings!
