Seattle-based speed metal to kick off 2026!
Seattle speed metal band Sölicitör headlined Friday, January 2, 2026, at The Kraken Bar & Lounge in Seattle. I literally had not even heard of the band until a couple weeks prior when metal show buddies Sara and Rob asked me if I wanted to go. I am always up for checking out new bands, and it would be my first show of 2026, so I figured, why not? The band had released a new full length in 2025, so I checked it out for a quick ramp on the band, and I liked what I heard!
More importantly, I liked what I heard live! This quintet really shreds, delivering thrashy speed metal that barrels ahead at a million miles an hour with plenty of guitar solos, crushing drumming, and some absolutely killer vocals from lead vocalist Amy Lee Carlson. She has a very thrashy approach but also adds in great high notes and even banshee wails! The set was super energetic and really got the crowd going, with all kinds of shenanigans happening in the pit. I am so glad I got to start the year with them, and I look forward to seeing them again soon!
Sölicitör played a 9-song setlist featuring songs from both of their full lengths and both of their EPs. The setlist was:
